The latest above captioned poll has come and gone, and not one single voter got the answer right. You should all be ashamed.
Turns out, I did enter Jefferson Parish "before the end of the weekend" for the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Parade Softball Tournament at LaSalle Park. In good JP fashion, I ate at a fast food restaurant (Subway (and I know some of you will debate that, but you're wrong. Subway, in my book is a chain and not enough of a sitdown place to distinguish itself from fast food, but this is one that each person interprets differently depending on how they view Subway)). I am happy though that I at least got to see the Saints's training facility, hit Airline Highway and take the Earhardt Expressway. All in all, I hit a lot on the one trip and even got to drink a little beer while I was out there.
However, I failed to eat Taco Bell, which I will regret for a while. Instead of sheep, I've been having to count Double Decker tacos jump the Rio Grande.

Richter scale
The blog was lit up the other day when we nearly hit double digit views within a short period of time. Soon we'll have to sell advertising space to cash in on this money-maker.
Shout out to all the new followers and to the Saints new draft class. For now, how about a poll.

Avocadoes on my mind
I have three avocadoes at home waiting for me to devour them tonight, and I have no clue exactly how to pursue this conundrum.
First, of course, I can always cut them up in slices and eat them with some sliced tomatoes, a little salt on top and drizzle a little balsamic vinigarette. A classic, simple, and delicous side dish that always pleases the diner.
Second, we could throw it back to my Homemade Guacamole piece written some months back. This would prove to be practicle as it would also create an hors d'oevre (or derv) that can be used over the next couple of nights. I would, however, have to think of another side dish - no issue at all though.
I'll spend my next couple of hours before dinner thinking about what to do - and a productive couple of hours it will be - but right now the leading candidate is to do them both. After all, this is America.

So I've taken the plunge and I'm all-in on Twitter. I first leapfrogged the irrepressible social networking site Facebook.com and landed on Twitter as a joke, as a way to show people that I too can do this and I don't need Facebook. Now I've been sucked in by an unstoppable force to the world of Twitter.
I have, however, found an area I really like to use my tweets, I don't typically tweet while working, and I don't tweet anything my mother wouldn't be able to read. So I feel like I'm ok.
The Twitter groove I'm in mostly revolves around my appetite. What is Snakebite craving? What is Snakebite eating for dinner? Lunch? Dessert? What about others?
Does anybody need to know this stuff? Of course not, but you're following me moron so get out of here if you don't want this jibber jabber. It's sort of like calling someone when they are taking a nap. They answer with that groggy sort of voice, and you feel compelled to postpone the conversation later. Not me...you answered, dummy. If you didn't want to talk and wanted to sleep, silence your phone.
But I digress. In a city like New Orleans, all kinds of restaurants exist with an assortment of world class, yet undiscovered, chefs. They're everywhere and they cook up some mean food. I tend to follow mostly people who like to tweet about what they are eating, where they are eating, and Taceaux Loceaux (the taco truck - @TLNola). I tweet the same stuff as most of these guys, and pictures always help.
The "tweeple" have become my sort of cookbook/restaurant guide and the best part about it is that you know who they are so you know based on their assessments if you will actually like a place or not.
As for tweeting from home, one character recently tweeted a meal he was cooking that night. Sure enough, the next week, I had to try it so I cooked it myself. It was a simple operation involving shrimp and pasta, but after tweeting that I was in the process of digesting @PBrowne3's meal from a week before, by lunch the next day I was all of the sudden in a cookoff with 3 other tweeple.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the cookoff will be one for the record books, even though it will be off the books. We'll bar-b-que shrimp and throw them in pasta with your own sort of sauce. @PBrowne3 will have mushrooms, but I will not because I don't care for them, and even though I want to win, I'm here to satisfy #1 so I don't step in #2. I'll just head in a different direction and have to make a name for myself.
Anyway, Twitter is great. Plus John Daly, yes the golfer, tweeted at me the other day. That's awesome. (I asked him if he was coming to NOLA for the Sugar Bowl game and yes, yes he was.)
P.S. We will probably do the cookoff over a multiple day period so as to not cook too much food. We are also thinking about bringing additional meals into play. Not sure what we're doing about judge's as of this time, but I'll keep you posted.

Later than the Latest Poll Results...
Of course 6-9 people voted on the poll for How Many People Will Vote On This Poll poll. Plus an overwhelming number of readers voted for that category for obvious reasons. Well done, fans.
Latest Poll Results...
Congratulations, Americans, the latest poll results on Snakebite's Blog are in. To the one reader, who shall remain anonymous because I don't know who he/she/it may be (it could even have been me), who picked that I would attend 3 Alabama games this year, Congratulations. You nailed it. I attended the Penn State, Florida and Ole Miss games. Bama looked good in all three.
We'll get some more polls up soon, and feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments section below.
